Australia mobile carriers are currently in a all out price war. Virgin and VHA announced new plans for July 1st and Telstra also did a refresh not too long ago, now Optus have joined in. Only 3 or so months since the announcement of the ‘Social Caps’ they are now going by the wayside in favour of the new ‘Max Cap’ plans being released 4th of July. This would be great timing considering Ausdroid has posted about the Galaxy S dropping to $0 on a $49 Cap with Optus. However you really don’t get much in the way of extras over the existing ‘Social Caps’ The $19 has a value increase and the $79 has a data decrease, so for the life of me i can only think it’s a re-badge of sorts.
