I have received an anonymous tip that states Optus is following on from their exclusive launch of the Garmin-Asus A10, they now have plans to launch it’s  brother, the A50, starting August.

From what I can see the major differences seem to be the A50 has 4GB of internal memory along with MicroSd slot upto 32GB, . . . → Read More: Optus to release another Garmin-Asus handset – A50

First Impressions: Samsung Galaxy S – Gallery Included

img_0949

Update: I have received a tip pointing towards an outright price of $549, however this is not confirmed. Never confirmed, pricing seems to be around the $799 mark.

Here is the next instalment of our new First Impressions series for you guys/gals, and this time it’s the Galaxy S. I had a chance to have a quick play around with this device yesterday, and from all accounts it’s extremely nice. The handset is fast, screen is very responsive and excellent in direct sunlight and the camera is great. However like all good things and knowing me, there are always things I get disappointed with. So as always, lets get into it.

Motorola Milestone coming to Optus? along with the Garmin A10?

While having a look around some Optus handset pricing, I came across an entry by the name of “Moto Milestone”. Now it only appears in the Business section of the pricing and not in the consumer. Could Optus be getting ready to release the Droid/Milestone and target it at businesses? It would make sense, target consumer with the DEXT and Backflip and business customers with the much cooler, professional looking Milestone. I’m waiting on more information and will post as soon as i have it. Also on this same pricing update was the Garmin-Asus A10 Android GPS phone. It does seem Optus are really starting to extend their Android lineup. Screenshot after the break.
